Codefag, depicted as a soyjak in a hard hat

Codefag is a former developer of the shemmy, recognized for his involvement in several soysphere projects.

Early Work and Contributions[edit | edit source]

Codefag played a significant role in the development of the shemmy and other soysphere-related projects. Aside from the shemmy, he also has developed other soysphere-related things and provided free hosting for 'teens on soyja.cc

The IP Leak Incident[edit | edit source]

In March, Codefag left the shemmy in shame after accidentally leaking the IPs of some posts.[1] While initially a major point of controversy, the incident is now largely viewed as minor by most users within the community.

Temporary Retirement and Return[edit | edit source]

After the IP leak, Codefag retired from the shemmy and distanced himself from the soysphere. Despite this, he made several notable returns:

  • On August 3rd, 2024, he created a bunker for the shemmy.
  • On August 21st, 2024, he announced his comeback to the scene.

Rehiring and Second Departure[edit | edit source]

Codefag was rehired as a developer in August 2024 but left again after a month. Following this, he launched soyjak.link, another service for the shemmy, positioning it as an alternative to pph.lol. Both of these websites are now inactive, with soyjak.link expected to die later. Codefag has since left the soysphere to create music under a new name.

Legacy[edit | edit source]

While his tenure was marred by controversy, such as the IP leak, many users no longer harbor resentment toward Codefag, recognizing the incident as a relatively minor mistake in the bigger picture of his contributions.
