Janitor, otherwise known as Janny, is a moderating position that is a tier lower than a Mod. Jannies are usually prevalent on imageboards, where they can delete threads and give out short bans. Jannies doing it for free is a common misconception, as they actually do their job for large portions of money with janitors on soygem.party getting up to 50 dollars per 10 bans. Having to pay for electricity and Internet connection expenses in order to be able to moderate their boards is no problem for these brave workers!

Along with their large pay, jannies are often looked up upon by the communities they moderate for their hard-work at keeping the 'log clean. When applications open to get new jannies they are almost always immediately filled, but only 00.1% meet the standards to join the force. It is also known that the vast majority of Jannies are in relationships with woman, either married or dating.

Because of their constant effort banning wrong-doers they are often targeted and harassed by bad people who falsely say "They do it for free" along with many other hurtful lies. Thankfully jannies are not only hard-working but very strong mentally, letting them ignore the hurtful words and continue doing their god-given work keeping communities safe from bad people.
